Case Study

Bellingham Waterfront Redevelopment

Bellingham, Washington
Puttman Infrastructure is helping to transform Bellingham's industrial waterfront into new mixed-use community that will be one of the most sustainable waterfront redevelopments in the U.S.

Puttman Infrastructure is currently leading efforts with the City and Port of Bellingham to redevelop Bellingham’s downtown waterfront. We are spearheading the creation of a new district energy system, district water system, and micro-hydro system totalling over $25M in value. Business arrangements include a public-private partnership with the City and Port for implementation. In addition, we are supporting development of a full utility master plan for public water, sanitary sewer, stormwater, and franchise utilities based on projected growth and street alignments. A full investment and funding plan is also being developed to direct public and private infrastructure investments for the 175-acre redevelopment.
